1.About the Center

The information construction center implements the overall smart campus construction of the school. It is responsible for the planning, information standardization, process standardization, system construction planning, organization and management functions of various business and service systems in the information construction of our school.

Its responsibilities include:

1.The overall planning and management of the college's informatization construction: drawing on the advanced informatization experience and lessons from home and abroad, combining the status quo and development trend of information technology, planning the direction and content of the informatization construction of our hospital, and managing the progress and budget of the informatization construction task.

2. Planning and implementation of informatization construction tasks: undertake the formulation, implementation, supervision and assessment of the school informatization construction plan and annual plan; understand, research and master the new development, new application and new technology of information construction, provide technical support for school informatization and take responsibility for the overall technical control of the school's informatization construction; the overall integration, construction, management and consulting services of the school information application system.

3.Establishing a basic platform which covers unified certification, unified public basic database, unified payment and unified communications.

4. Establishing a service-oriented integrated information system: a one-stop information service platform for faculty, students, and management; providing business interface and management data for teachers, students, college administrators, Zhujiang Investment Group and education department；providing data support for college decision-making through data analysis.

5.Organization and management of the information construction team: the information construction center is responsible for selecting and recruiting talents, and gradually forming a professional team composed of various talents in information management, project research and development, project management and information consulting services so as to adapt to the needs of school’s information construction.

6. Informatization construction project management: the information construction center participates in the whole life cycle of the project, including project initiation, project planning, project execution, project supervision and project acceptance. It’s also responsible for team building, project standardization requirements, project cost and schedule control, and project acceptance organizations, etc.

7. Information technology and business training: it is responsible for the training courses on campus information construction and application, such as informational thinking, information construction process, information tools and other training, and constantly improving the application skills of the information platform of teachers and students.

8. Collecting and studying national and provincial guidelines, policies, and laws and regulations on the development of higher education; analyzing and grasping the important information and latest developments in the development of higher education at home and abroad, and strive for guidance and support from higher authorities.

9. Responsible for summarizing the achievements of the college's informatization construction and system construction and media publicity.

2.Organizational Structure

1. the overall management of the department, the informatization construction of the college, team building and personnel management;

2. formulating and implementing the integrated planning for the informationization construction of the college;

3. coordinating the demand analysis, implementation plan formulation and capital budgeting of major projects of information technology construction of the College.

4. the establishment of external partnerships，business negotiations, technology development and other matters.

   The Associate Director is responsible for:

1. coordinating project and technical work and technical team construction;

2. formulating and implementing relevant standards for the informationization construction;

3. participating in and reviewing the demand analysis, implementing plan and capital budgeting of major projects of the informationization construction;

4. promoting the integration of information resources and system construction;

5. organizing and implementing the secondary development, maintenance and upgrade of the information system;

6. organizing and implementing the related work on the research platform of the college;

7. organizing training on informationization.
