On the morning of June 24, the 2024 Sino-US Talent Training Program 121 Project: Sino-US University Cooperation Fair, sponsored by the China Education International Education Exchange Center and the Guangdong Education Association for International Exchange, undertaken by Guangdong University of Technology, was held at the Dongfeng Road Campus of Guangdong University of Technology. Li Jinjun, Director of the Exchange and Cooperation Office of Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, Zhao Pengfei, President of the Guangdong Education Association for International Exchange, Du Chengming, Vice President of Guangdong University of Technology, Zhang Jing, Director of the Center for International Education Exchange of China Education, and Sufei Li, Deputy Director of the China/Asia Program of the Association of State Universities and Colleges of United States attended the meeting. Representatives from 10 universities in the United States and 26 universities in China attended the event. Chai Jin, Deputy Director and Peng Yalin, Communication officer of the Department of International Cooperation were at the event on the behalf of Nanfang College, Guangzhou.
At the meeting, Li Jinjun, Director of the Exchange and Cooperation Division of the Provincial Department of Education, said in his speech that Guangdong encourages and supports universities to carry out multi-dimensional cooperation with United States universities in diverse forms. He welcomes more American college students to study and exchange in Guangdong Province. Zhao Pengfei, President of Guangdong Education Association for International Exchange, thanked China Education Association for International Exchange for its long-term care and support for Guangdong's educational opening-up to the outside world. Zhang Jing, Director of the Center for International Education Exchange of China Education, gave a comprehensive introduction to the 121 project of the Sino-US Talent Cultivation Program. Sufei Li, Deputy Director of China/Asia Program of the Association of State Universities and Colleges of United States, introduced the development of the Association and the Sino-US 121 Program.
Representatives from NCG had in-depth exchanges with 10 universities from the United States and 25 others from China at the meeting, conducted detailed discussions on cooperation areas of common concern. Through this meeting, NCG not only shared its successful cases and rich experience in international education projects with all parties involved, but also further helped deepen the mutual understanding between Chinese and American universities.
As one of the first batch of private schools selected for the 121 projects of the "China-U.S. Talent Training Program", NCG cooperates with three universities in the United States: Nebraska State University Kearney Campus, Salem State University and Millersville University. Through the strong alliance and complementary advantages of Chinese and American universities, the project provides students with a wealth of professional choices such as finance, economics, accounting and English (with focus in international business), cultivating outstanding talents with international vision and professional composites. The comprehensive abilities of the first batch of students from NCG to study in the United States are highly recognized by American partner universities.
Looking to the future, NCG will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with U.S. partner institutions, expand cooperation areas and methods, and provide more students with high-quality international education resources and development opportunities.
