The wind of farewell has blown into the graduation season in June. Another group of students set off from Nanfang College, Guangzhou to start a new journey. This time, they finally became the protagonists of this graduation ceremony.

On June 19, 2024, the degree awarding ceremony for the 2024 graduates of NCG was held grandly in the auditorium of Multiple-use Building. The graduates, with the ardent expectations of their alma mater, set sail again and braved the wind and waves towards their future.

Tang Tao, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Science, President of NCG and Chairman of the school's degree evaluation committee, Professor Cao Guangfu, Vice President and Vice Chairman of the committee and representatives of tutors from each department attended the ceremony as officiating professors. The degree awarding ceremony was presided over by Professor Cao Guangfu.

The degree awarding ceremony kicked off at 8:30 with the solemn national anthem and Mr. Sun Yat-sen’s precepts addressed the students on the voyage.

At the ceremony, Professor Cao Guangfu, Vice President and Vice Chairman of the school’s degree evaluation committee, read out the“Decision on Awarding Bachelor’s Degrees to Full-time Undergraduates of 2024" and “Decision on Commending Outstanding Graduates of 2024".

Academician Tang Tao awarded degrees to the graduates of 2024. A viewing area was specially set up for the graduates’ relatives and friends, and the whole process was broadcast live through the school’s official WeChat Video Channel, allowing the graduates’ relatives, friends, other teachers and students who were not present to witness this solemn youth ceremony.

All graduates sang the school anthem together to farewell their four years at the university. The melodious school anthem echoed in the auditorium, and the degree awarding ceremony came to a successful conclusion at this moment.
