NCG Achieved Great Results in the 2024 Guangdong University Baseball and Softball Championship and MLB College Baseball and Softball Open

The 2024 Guangdong University Baseball and Softball Championship and MLB College Baseball and Softball Open, jointly sponsored by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education and the Guangdong Provincial Student Sports and Art Federation, came to a successful conclusion at the Qingyuan Evergrande Football Training Base from June 7 to 10. Our school's baseball and softball team has achieved excellent results under the leadership of Peng Bin and two coaches, Xuan Yanfen and Li Guozhang. The school's boys' baseball team went through rounds of fierce battles and finally won the second place, with the girls' softball team finished fifth after fierce competition.

NCG’s coach Xuan Yanfen won the Outstanding Coach Award for her careful guidance to the baseball players and her outstanding performance in the game; The male baseball player Tan Jiahua won the Outstanding Pitcher and Batter Award for his excellent skills and ability. Male baseball player He Yukang and female softball player Yang Fan also won the Outstanding Batter Award for their stable performance.

It is reported that this session attracted a total of 11 baseball teams and 6 softball teams from well-known schools in the province, including Sun Yat-sen University, Jinan University, Southern University of Science and Technology, etc, totaling more than 500 athletes and coaches. The performance of NCG's baseball and softball teams in the competition is not only the best proof of their own strength, but also a powerful inheritance of our school's sports spirit of daring to fight, hard work and tenacity.

In recent years, our school has insisted on cultivating people with moral integrity, adhering to promoting teaching, learning and reform through competition, integrating sports literacy into students' comprehensive quality and academic evaluation system and continuing to innovate in sports teaching.
