NCG + University of Nebraska Kearney - Finance/Economics

With the of "building a first-class business school among China's applied universities," NCG's School of Business has been dedicated to cultivating elite talents in economics and management with a solid capability, broad knowledge, strong practical skills, innovative awareness and pioneering spirit. It serves as an important base for cultivating applied business talents in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Department of Finance

Established in 2018, the Department of Finance now has a diverse teaching team with over half of the faculty having international academic backgrounds and all faculty members holding master's degrees or above. The department invites senior executives from Bank of China, SHKP Guorui Fund, KPMG Consulting, Guangzhou Jinkon Futures and other companies as industry mentors for collaborative teaching.

Department of Economics

Established in 2007, the Department of Economics has formed a high-level teaching team mainly composed of PhDs. and senior professionals. The faculty members have graduated from renowned universities from worldwide inlucidng the UK, US, and France. 75% of the teachers are dual-qualified, namely combining theoretical research and practice, with expertise covering areas including economics, finance, management, statistics and international trade.

The University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) was founded in 1905 and located in Nebraska, home of Warren Buffett, the God of Equity. UNK is a public research university offering 170 undergraduate majors and 25 pre-professional programs. The university is a model for undergraduate academic research across the United States. With a student-to-faculty ratio of 1:17, each student enjoy extensive care from professors.

The city of Kearney is situated midway between New York and California, making it one of the most vibrant cities in the Midwest. Several nearby airports offer flights to major U.S. cities, rendering high quality of life and safety. UNK has been ranked among the top ten public universities by U.S. News & World Report. The university provides cozy campus dormitories for student accommodation and offers on-campus part-time job and internship opportunities.

Cooperating Department and Majors: College of Business and Technology - Finance/Economics

The College of Business and Technology is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a recognition achieved by only about 5% of business schools worldwide. The college has three major departments: Business, Cyber Systems, and Industrial Technology. The Business department offers courses in 21 specializations, including Finance and Economics. The teaching plans and guidance support aim to enhance practical skills through learning, instill confidence, providing students with career experience and equipping with business network.

Training Mode

First Year:

Students study foundation courses at NCG. After completing the required credits, students apply to study at the partner university in the United States.

Note: Students officially admitted to the University of Nebraska at Kearney shall achieve a language proficiency score of either TOFEL (ITP minimum total score of 530, iBT minimum total score of 61) or IELTS (minimum overall score of 5.5). Were the requirements not met, students shall take an extra language course during their studies.

Second and Third Years:

Students study the program's prescribed major courses and general education courses at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Fourth Year:

Students return to NCG to study the major courses specified in the training program, complete professional internships, and write graduation theses. Upon meeting the credit graduation requirements of both Chinese and American universities, students can obtain bachelor's degrees from both institutions.
