NCG + Salem State University: Accounting

NCG's Accounting program at the School of Accounting was selected as one of the first National First-Class Undergraduate Programs in 2019. It is also recognized as a Guangdong Provincial Characteristic Program, a Provincial Demonstration Program for Applied Talent Cultivation, and a key development program of the school.

Currently there are over 50 students annually gaining admission to domestic and international graduate programs. This places the school at the forefront among similar institutions in Guangdong Province. Students have been admitted to prestigious universities at home and abroad such as Sun Yat-sen University, Central China Normal University, City University of Hong Kong, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Johns Hopkins University, New York University, and the University of Birmingham, among others.

In terms of professional certifications and civil service examinations, over 200 students have passed domestic and international professional qualification exams, including the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) .

Salem State University (SSU) established in 1854, is situated in Salem, Massachusetts, a picturesque suburb north of Boston. As a comprehensive public institution, SSU offers a wide array of undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

Salem is a charming coastal city by the Atlantic, steeped in history and culture. Located just 27 kilometers north of Boston, it enjoys a temperate climate with temperatures ranging from 0 to 32 degrees Celsius throughout the year. The city's efficient public transportation system seamlessly connects Salem to Boston, effectively integrating the two urban areas.

Salem State University has garnered recognition for its academic excellence, ranking 96th among the Best Universities in the North by U.S. News & World Report. Collaborating Department and Major: Bertolon School of Business — Accounting

The Bertolon School of Business has earned the prestigious accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a distinction shared by only about 5% of business schools worldwide. The school offers a diverse range of 11 specialized programs, including Accounting, Finance, and Hospitality Management.

The school's curriculum and instructional support are meticulously designed to foster competence and instill confidence, preparing students to become successful business and community leaders. The Bertolon School of Business actively encourages collaboration, innovation, and pursues personal excellence among its students.

Training Mode

First Year:

Students study foundation courses at NCG. After completing the required credits, students apply to study at the partner university in the United States.

Note: Students officially admitted to Salem State University must meet the following conditions: complete the required courses at NCG with a GPA of 2.0 / C or above ; achieve a language proficiency score of either TOFEL (ITP minimum total score of 530, iBT minimum total score of 71), IELTS (minimum overall score of 6.0), or Duolingo (minimum total score of 110). Were the requirements not met, students shall take an extra language course during their studies.

Second and Third Years:

Students study the program's prescribed major courses and general education courses at Salem State University.

Fourth Year:

Students return to NCG to study the major courses specified in the training program, complete professional internships, and write graduation theses. Upon meeting the credit graduation requirements of both Chinese and American universities, students can obtain bachelor's degrees from both institutions.
