The "5th Cross-Strait Student Baseball League (Shaoxing Station)" successfully concluded on July 11, 2024. The event, which ran from July 8 to 11, was held at the baseball field of the Shaoxing Baseball and Softball Sports Cultural Center in Zhejiang Province. It was guided by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau. NCG's baseball team, led by coaches Xuan Yanfen and Li Guozhang, secured the second place after several rounds of intense competition with the Taiwan team. Additionally, team member Li Benyu won the individual Best Hitter award during the tournament.

The "5th Cross-Strait Student Baseball League (Shaoxing Station)" was held at the baseball venue of the Hangzhou Asian Games. A total of 18 teams from both sides of the Taiwan Strait participated, totaling more than 400 players. The league was divided into three groups: A, B, and C, and adopted a round-robin format within each group. A total of 27 matches were played, allowing both sides to foster friendships through baseball and has enhanced mutual exchange.

Our baseball team's achievement of second place is more than just a powerful testament to their own strength but a showcase to the excellent competitiveness and teamwork ability among athletes. Behind this honor of securing the runner-up position lies the undeniable effort of both the team members and coaches. Looking ahead, NCG's baseball team will continue to carry forward the sporting spirit of daring to strive and persevere. They will further improve their skills and aim to win more honors for the campus.
