Bythe 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia and the“Year ofChina-Malaysia Friendship”,premiere ofthe documentary film“ShaolinMartial Artists”ledbyNCG’sSchool of Literature and Media,curated bythe DeanSun Li, directed bytheAssociate Professor Liu Leand co-produced by more than 20 teachers and students, was recently held at the Chinese Cultural Center in Kuala Lumpur. Liu Le andhiscreative team appeared at the premiere and had in-depth exchanges with representativesand friendly personagefrom all walks of life in Malaysia. The eventwas praised by theChairman ofMalaysia’sNational Film Development Authority.
Focusingon the process of China’s Shaolinmartial artsculture taking root, germinating and blossoming in Malaysia,the documentary starts with the historical exchanges between the two peoples,vividly tellingthe story ofYanzhi,aShaolin monkspreadingtheChineseculture ina southeastern nation.
