The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering aims to cultivate innovative application-oriented IT engineering talents. It focuses on enhancing students’ practical abilities, especially in discipline construction, training models, and integration of school-enterprise collaboration through in-depth exploration and practice.
The Data Science and Big Data Technology program aligns with the national strategic initiatives and the socio-economic development needs of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Pearl River Delta region. It leverages the goal of building a local application-oriented university wth distinctive characteristics and features the multidisciplinary integration among its secondary schools to cultivate high-level applied-talents with an international perspective.

Griffith College, founded in 1974, is one of the most prestigious comprehensive universities accredited by the Irish Ministry of Education and the largest comprehensive independent college in Ireland, whose degrees awarded are recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education. The college has three campuses: the main campus in Dublin, known as the ‘Silicon Valley of Europe’ and the ‘Data Capital,’ and branch campuses in Cork, the second-largest city and Limerick, the third-largest city. Its key majors include Computer Science, Network and Information Security, Big Data Management and Analysis, and Interactive Digital Media.

Training Modes
- 4+0: Students study for 4 years domestically without going abroad. Upon meeting the graduation requirements, students receive a bachelor’s degree from Nanfang College Guangzhou.
- 3+1: Students study for 3 years domestically and 1 year at Griffith College. Upon meeting the graduation requirements from both sides, students receive dual bachelor’s degrees from both universities.
- 3+1+1: Students study for 3 years domestically and 2 years at Griffith College (1 year for undergraduate + 1 year for graduate). Upon meeting the graduation requirements from both sides, students receive dual bachelor’s degrees from both universities and a master’s degree from Griffith College Ireland.
