The School of Foreign Languages at Nanfang College, Guangzhou (NCG) welcomed alumni from different graduating years back to campus on 18 October for a special gathering celebrating the College's 20th anniversary. Held in the Shanren Arts Troupe's activity room, the event brought together graduates, faculty members and student counsellors to reconnect and reflect on their shared ties with the School.

Professor Ding Jianxin, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, and Associate Dean Yang Weizhong attended alongside faculty members, student counsellors and alumni representatives.

The gathering opened with performances by the Shanren Arts Troupe, featuring dance, solo and choral singing. The performances showcased the talents and enthusiasm of students from the School of Foreign Languages, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the returning graduates.

Faculty members and student counsellors reflected on the School's development over the years, expressing appreciation for the continued interest and support of its alumni. They also extended their best wishes for graduates' careers and emphasised that the School would always remain a place of belonging, welcoming alumni to return and stay connected.

During the discussions, Dean Ding spoke with alumni about their careers and recent experiences, recognising their achievements in their respective fields and encouraging them to remain true to their aspirations. He reaffirmed that the School of Foreign Languages would always be a welcoming home for its graduates, where they could renew friendships, exchange ideas and contribute to its future development.

The alumni gathering strengthened connections between the School and its graduates. Looking ahead, the School of Foreign Languages will continue to provide opportunities for alumni engagement and collaboration, encouraging graduates and the School to work together towards their shared development.
