In order to study and implement the essence of President Xi’s key speeches and the guiding principles of the 19^th National Congress, to carry out the seventh 5-year plan to spread legal knowledge among the public, to promote the socialist rule of law and intensify the belief in the rule of law, to further boost the learning and education related to the Constitution, Nanfang College of Yat-sen University and the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Conghua District, held a ceremony for signing the cooperation agreement on the foundation of an education base related to the Constitution at Xitang Village of Aotou Town on September 20. President Yu Shiyou and Secretary of the Party Committee Li Jianchao of Nanfang College and Director Lin Yizi and Deputy Director Yu Zhiping of the Standing Committee of Conghua People’s Congress attended the ceremony, which was presided by Liu Min, member of office director the Standing Committee of Conghua People’s Congress.

President Yu Shiyou delivered a speech on the ceremony and stated that it is very important that Nanfang College of Sun Yat-sen University, as an application-oriented university as well as a part of Conghua, positively contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The cooperation between the College and the Standing Committee is based on good understanding and respective advantages of both parties. He expressed the hope that the two parties will work together to maintain the existing achievements and continuously push forward the development of a good model of institution-regional cooperation.

Li Jianchao, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, and Yu Zhiping Deputy Chief of the Standing Committee of Conghua District, signed the agreement respectively on behalf of the two parties and jointly declared the official foundation of the Constitution Education Base.
